Meet John Klenke
I'm a Green Bay native who lives on the east side with my wife
Charlotte and family. Together, Charlotte and I have six
children ranging in age from 13 to 28. My roots in Green Bay run
deeply into the heart of this wonderful community. I grew up
working in my father's store, Aim variety. I have seen this
community grow and change and I am excited about our collective
future.
After earning a bachelor's degree in accounting from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a master's degree with an
emphasis on taxation from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, I
spent over 25 years in business. The last 22 years of my career was
spent in Green Bay, at Schneider National. In that time, I had the
pleasure of leading teams and business units in the areas of
taxation, finance, and business strategy. The key to my
success was to maintain a strong balance sheet while keeping the
infrastructure of the company in proportion to its ability to
generate profits.
That real-world business experience has been invaluable to me,
especially as I look at the issues we face in our district, and
across Wisconsin. My experience has taught me to balance budgets
and how creating a strong financial foundation will ensure a
prosperous future.
